The Institute for Positive Action (IPA), the education and information wing of Maryland United for Peace and Justice, Inc. (MUPJ), a networking coalition of groups and individuals working for peace, justice and the environment, sponsors the annual Fred Benjamin Peace Awards, open to all public and private high school students throughout Maryland. Entries can be literary (essay, fiction, poetry, play, etc.), artistic, or musical. All entries must be postmarked by March 1, 2007.
