The Institute for Positive Action (IPA), the education and information wing of Maryland United for Peace and Justice, Inc. (MUPJ), a networking coalition of groups and individuals working for peace, justice and the environment, sponsors the annual Fred Benjamin Peace Awards, open to all public and private high school students throughout Maryland. Entries can be literary (essay, fiction, poetry, play, etc.), artistic, or musical. All entries must be postmarked by March 1, 2007.

We invite your group to cosponsor the 22nd Annual Peace and Justice Conference. This year's conference, entitled "If You Want Peace, Work For Justice" will be held on April 28 from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm at Paint Branch Unitarian Universalist Church in Adelphi, Maryland.
